When To Utilize Data Restoration Services

By Jeremy Canfield

Datarecovery is utilized either when a hard drive or other storage device/array has crashed either due to a software mistake or a hardware error. Both can be devastating as the effective result is that you cannot access your information. A software blunder could scramble your information or make it unreadable and hopeless, or it's possible that some software could help you recover it.

Physical information loss is harder, if your drive crashes and the platters which hold the data have been damaged, that is physical loss which can't be corrected. You may just be able to recover all of the legible information, but some files/informaton will be lost. Or if you're lucky and it's a straightforward motor failure, arm failure, circuit failure, your data may be intact.

In all cases with datarecovery, you may need physical help but if the hard drive is recognized and working properly and you simply had a crash or need to see what files are on the computer, file recovery is probably what you need.

Traditionally with other services you are forced to package up your entire computer or at least open up the computer case and take away the drive, find appropriate packaging and then you pay to ship it to an info recovery lab to get a guess.

The danger with the standard way besides the nuisance and much longer turn around time is that your data/hard drive (s)/computer (s) might be lost or damaged in transit. Once your computer/hard drive ultimately arrives, you have got to wait to get an appraisal. By that time you are so desperate to get your information the company you sent to knows you are most probably content to pay any price even if it's on the high side of the estimate.

With our solution we will essentially connect to your system from anywhere in the world as long as you've got a high speed web connection. We also tell you how much we will charge you before doing the work and you don't have to ship anything anywhere.
